Hara Hara Sankara Jaya Jaya Sankara

My dear Kamalhassan, this is for you

Kamalhasan has announced officially that he is into politics and that he is working out on the basics and details to launch it.

I wish him the best.

Here are some of the roadblocks or points which needs to take care

1. Connect with people
Kamalhassan says he is going to connect with people via an app. Many who vote are outside the app radar and their real problems need to be addressed. The count of app downloads, number of people who attend the meeting or meet up is never or has never translated into votes. The general opinion of Kamalhassan been that he is an intellectual and not many understand what he speaks. It will be very tough to satisfy all.

2. Issues Bothering the people of Tamilnadu

Right post the demise of the Madam Jayalalithaa , the state of tamilnadu has seen various issues and is struggling to cope up at various ends, esp ecially in terms of farmer issues, inter state river problems, investor attraction, jobs creation, infrastructure development, creation of skilled manpower.

This is a very big and important space which kamalhassan needs to address and even politicians who have been in the field for years have struggled to cope up.

3. Funding for the party

It will be actually very difficult for him to keep track of every paisa that comes in and goes out and he has to entrust this with a group of honest people else it will boomerang on him.

4. Communist Love, Atheism

Communists have lost all seats in the parliament and assembly elections in tamilnadu and we see only a bleak future for them in the state of TN. There have not been much of supporters for them except their ideology which is still there on papers and books.

Kamalhasan met a CM who belongs to the communist party, he could have very well taken up the topic of Mullai Periyar with him. Had he succeeded it would have been a master stroke for him .

It is better Kamalhasan does not talk about rationalism , atheism stuff still he launches and has a good base.

5. Booth agents

From chennai till the last booth in kanyakumari we need poll agents for the party and the only 2 parties which seem to have it are the DMK and ADMK. It is still unclear how kamalhassan will handle it

6. Opposition parties

Once the party is launched and you have made clear your objectives, the real test starts. You need to prepared to take all kinds of criticism and people will start creating meme’s too on you. How well kamalhassan can handle it, needs to be seen.

Kamalhasan has taken the plunge, it is an uphill task for him, we need to wait and watch what he is going to do

Again, wish him the best

BJP needs a deputy leader to Modi..why?Read on..

The recent turmoil of leadership in the ADMK witnessed many scenes including a revolt by one of the main men of the party Mr O Paneerselvam. The reason for this is because J Jayalalithaa did not groom any second level leader to succeed her to the top.
I can visualize a similar kind of scenario happening in the BJP now. If at all a situation arises , there is no leader post modi to lead the party in the way he has done it. Let us not forget the situation which the BJP faced during 2004 general elections. Post A B Vajpayee there was no leader in the party as respected as him by the masses to be accepted by the people.
All other parties do a have a second line of leaderships. For example – Congress, TDP, TRS, DMK, SP

How should companies/HR deal with candidates for hiring?

I have been linkedin for some time now and the common issue i have noticed is the HR blaming the candidates. My mentor used to say if you are carry bricks then one day a brick might fall on your feet and you cannot complain. All of us forget that we are dealing with human beings and not with robots. Every individual has dreams and emotions and he or she is trying to achieve something in life.

As a HR i will stress on the demographics of every state and check from where the candidate is and shall proceed on an individual basis. I will NEVER EVER reject candidates with bad communication or appearance since in my experience some of the best programmers i have come across started with the above mentioned qualities.

Another thing which i find in HRs in india particularly is that they want only premium B School candidates. I guess over a period of time even security would be required to give a certification.

I have more ideas to ease out recruitment, interested people can contact me …..

Cheers

How should companies/HR deal with candidates for hiring?

M S Viswanathan – A tribute

It was in 2012 september that i met Shri M S Viswanthan at his residence. I met him and took his blessings. I had the great opportunity to take a photograph and also with this car MSV5052 and today the car photo is making the rounds in some newspapers. We did not give MSV sir anything when we met him and he said all your love and wishes is enough. I was thinking from where this down to earth attitude came to him and how such a genius can be so humble and normal with people. He asked me if i played any instrument and particularly guitar.

I did not have the chance to listen to film songs for a very long time and with respect to msv sir i could listen to many of his gems only till post 2005. I have read 2 books written on him. One by Sri Vamanan in his thirai isai alaigal and the other by sri, rani maindan where they talk about this music and life.

MSV’s compositions were spontaneous and he was never tired of giving tunes to the director. Here, Mr. cello sekar (leading cello player in india and son of sri kunnakudi vaidyanathan) explains certain nuances from MSV’s music

All would be surprised to know that Angum ingum in the movie avargal was composed in a function and msv openly accepted the challenge and composed.

The number of people who came to pay their respects to shri msv shows the millions of life he touched by music

Long live Mellisai Mannar M S Viswanathan

My dear Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi ji

Most respected Prime Minister ji,

Good afternoon and greetings to you. I have written this letter/blog to you as a person who voted for you and who still believes that you can deliver.

1. Indian Railways – I see no improvement in the field of railways. Still passengers suffer when they travel from one corner to the other. I am sure tightening administration rules and making travel easy does not require any investment but it just needs a strict administrator.  Trains running without water in toilets, unclean compartments and ticket less travelling. The railway stations provide a huge opportunity for solar energy to be tapped and with this employment can be generated. We can dream of a india where every station will air conditioned fully with solar energy.

2. Indian IT industry – The computer software industry is in a bad shape and just for your information i don’t know who is the minister responsible for this. So many labour laws are flouted in running IT companies and many employees have lost jobs because of lack of business. There are a lot of start ups that are coming up in the country and i request you to allocate these SEZ’s to the start up companies. I am confident these will bring revenue and jobs. Companies that make 50 crore INR or above should be asked to leave the SEZs.

3. One Country, One Syllabus, One Board – In our country we have different boards in all states. These are State Board, Matriculation , ICSE and CBSE. When they pass out and go for engineering they all study a syllabus prepared by AICTE. This is a glaring mismatch. We should have only board and one syllabus and preference to be given to that state’s linguistic policy. When this is done, equal opportunity is created for all.

4. Interlinking of rivers and desalination of sea water – Many states are bordered by sea’s and we have plenty of water than can be used to desalination and this would provide drinking water to many millions across the country.

I sincerely hope these feedback’s would taken in a positive stride and we believe in you and you only sir to make india a better country

JAI HIND

We will get back to you. The Indian IT company HR

I had been searching for a job for quite some time and started to attend many interviews. These are some feedback’s which i have to the Indian HR’s and hope i can see the change soon.

  1. Respect the candidate and his time. 90% of the interviews did not happen on time and the minimum delay was 30 to 45 mins
  2. HR’s don’t know the difference sales and marketing. They think both are the same.
  3. IT HR’s are confused with the terms IT, Application Development, Services and Software.
  4. Some times interviews are conducted for pass time because when we ask for the result they would say they position is being put on hold
  5. Every Email today says wanted candidates from premium B schools but what they don’t understand is whether the Premium B School guy will even want to enter the gates of the company.
  6. A serious thing which the HR’s should do is to do away with degrees and stuff when they hire experienced people.
  7. If you gave an offer and the candidate did not turn up then you failed in your judgement.
  8. Finally forget these words ” We will get back to you” and give the candidate a real time result.

IT Software People and tamizh cinema people

IT Software People and tamizh cinema people

Today i thought of classifying people whom i have come across during my work and wanted to put them under various names of popular tamizh film industry people

1. The Rajnikanths: The most wanted programmers/managers. Have only friends and friends only everywhere
They joined the company during the initial days and even today whatever project they have touched has fetched the maximum revenues or thats what the company appraisals say.

2. The Kamalhassans: Very intelligent and talented. They come up with a lot of good ideas but sadly the people (read as management) do not accept them and some times their ideas have misfired badly.

3. The Vijays – Best code copiers who survived the pre google era but got trapped the post google era since everyone started copying and made their life worse. Also their reason for the downfall was that they projected themselves as the future CEO of the company which the management did not like

4.  The Ajith Kumars: Very hard working and presentable people but they have always got shocks because of their Blunt speaking. Very good name among co workers but the management feels they are a risk.

5. The Maniratnams: Highly educated but always will work only on real time projects. They enjoyed initial success but suddenly one day they raised themselves to the international and all india standards and the only people whom the north indians in the offices across india and globe know are these people.
