I have been regular visitor to the chennai book fair and every year i guess there has been an increase in the number of book stalls. Also, i have wondered why these people have so much of stall with food stuff in the book fair. May be as my friend said it is like that food canteen in the music sabhas.
I have the following suggestion which i have mailed to the BAPASI people. Hope some one tries to implement some stuff
1. Book has to divided into different sections like : Tamil, English and other languages (if any). A special section for school children and their books
2. Reduce the number of book stalls. Publishers get the first priority and the rest can come afterwards.
3. Make the book stall disabled friendly and also reduce the distance from the parking to the stalls.
4. Food stalls and food vendors are getting priority and this also should be done away with.
Next year i hope to see some of these changes.
